We engage with academics and policymakers to better understand economic inequality in the United States and its impact on economic growth. Our mission includes grantmaking to academic economists and other social scientists to support new research on inequality, mobility, growth, and related issues.

Economic Policy Expertise

We are seeking an experienced chief economist who can apply academic evidence to policy debates and serve as our spokesperson on economic issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of macroeconomics and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Job Description

This is an immediate opening for a lead economic strategist who will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective economic policies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and communicating economic analysis and recommendations to policymakers and stakeholders;">
  • Representing the organization in media interviews and public forums;">
  • Collaborating with our research team to identify areas of focus and develop grant proposals;">
  • Serving as a content developer to support strategic communications efforts.">

Requirements

">

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with a Ph.D. in economics or a related field and at least 10 years of experience in economic policy analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Compensation and Benefits

">

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
