Women's Outreach Program

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in providing treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual developmental disabilities.

Program Overview

The Women's Outreach program offers a comprehensive approach to supporting women in recovery, addressing risk factors for relapse, and promoting abstinence, recovery, and employment. Our program includes both residential and intensive outpatient services, providing a safe and supportive environment for women to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct IOP groups, individual counseling, and psychoeducation for Women's Outreach clients, adhering to established guidelines and program licensure by the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH)/Health Facility Regulation (HFR).
  • Follow established guidelines in the Addictive Disease Program Plan, ensuring a comprehensive and individualized approach to client care.
  • Provide individual counseling as clinically indicated, supporting clients in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Complete SPD's, and all other supporting assessments, including UDS, and documentation for individuals affiliated with Women's Outreach Outpatient.
  • Follow-up calls with referrals and participation in Treatment/consultation/clinical team meetings, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Complete monthly Treatment Plan reviews and discharge/transition individuals served, as clinically indicated.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Addictive Disease, Program Manager(s), as needed to meet the expanding needs of individuals served.
