Job Summary

CDR Maguire Inc. is seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector to join their team in Orange County, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-complexity technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout and making.
  • Check engineering computations, inspect construction work, and conduct field tests.
  • Coordinate and manage lower-level inspectors.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports of work performed in accordance with CDR Maguire's and Owner's requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with the contractor's health and safety plan.
  • Verify that delivered materials conform to contract documents.
  • Check contractor's layout and verify accuracy.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and perform basic math computations for length, area, and volume.
  • Four years of experience in construction inspection, including two years in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection with the exception of Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures.
  • Experience working with FDOT.
  • Civil Engineering degree and one year of road & bridge CEI experience can substitute for the four years of experience listed above.

  • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I.
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges).
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I.
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II.
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I.
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II.
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection.
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures).
  • CTQP Grouting Technician Level I.
  • CTQP Post-Tensioning Technician Level I.
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I.
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I.

  • FDOT Intermediate MOT.
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety.
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I.
