UPMC is seeking a Full Time Cold Cook to support the Nutritional Services department. This role is responsible for the preparation and service of high quality, nutritionally-appropriate foods that are satisfying to the guest. The Cold Cook observes safe food handling procedures and maintains sanitation of work area and equipment. Key responsibilities include chilling, storing, and recording prepared and leftover food in accordance to health department guidelines, maintaining an inspection-ready work area, and providing a courteous and helpful customer service attitude on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. The Cold Cook will work 11am until 7:30pm, every other weekend and holiday, with hours subject to change based on business needs. The position is expected to adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Act 34.
