The Certified Respiratory Care Specialist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, focusing on the assessment and management of patients experiencing respiratory issues. This position involves delivering high-quality respiratory care and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Administer various respiratory therapies, including but not limited to oxygen therapy and nebulization.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as pulmonary function assessments and blood gas analyses.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to create and execute comprehensive care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding respiratory health and equipment usage.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and standards to ensure a secure treatment environment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
