Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Education: Provide clinical teaching and mentorship to residents, medical students, and nurse anesthetists, promoting excellence in patient care and anesthesiology.
  • Research and Development: Pursue clinical or laboratory research, advancing knowledge and improving patient outcomes in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine.
  • Clinical Practice: Deliver high-quality anesthetic care to patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Leadership and Service: Contribute to departmental and institutional committees, fostering a culture of excellence and community service.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree
  • ABA Board eligible/certified in Anesthesiology and/or certified/eligible for Critical Care Certification
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia
  • Eligible for employment in the United States
  • Excellent communication, clinical, and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment or commitment to do so
