Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-Time Management and Career Growth Opportunity candidate to join our team at Michaels. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, leading front-end operations, and driving team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage front-end operations, including customer service, sales floor management, and cash handling.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase team productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, including sales targets, customer satisfaction, and team development.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with cash reconciliation, bank deposits, and inventory processes, including Return to Vendor (RTV) and Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) activities.
  • Train, observe, and coach the customer experience team to achieve results and support Talent Development.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and interact with customers, team members, and vendors in a professional and respectful manner.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, team members, and vendors.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail management experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including sales floor management, customer service, and inventory processes.
  • Experience with shrink and safety programs, including cash reconciliation and bank deposits.
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks. The Frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
