About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Coordinator to join our team at Terracon. As a Laboratory Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services, including materials testing, quality control, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Materials Testing and Quality Control: Ensure that laboratory testing services are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with company quality protocols and project requirements.
  • Staff Supervision and Training: Oversee and coordinate the training and utilization of laboratory staff, ensuring they are properly equipped and supervised to perform their duties.
  • Laboratory Maintenance and Organization: Ensure the laboratory and testing equipment are properly maintained and organized, adhering to company standards and protocols.
  • Inter-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate laboratory activities with other departments and offices, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Project Management: Assist in managing laboratory projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to client and project requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience performing laboratory tests on construction and geotechnical materials.
  • Certifications: Certification by qualified national, regional, or state authorities (ACI, NICET, DOT) or in-house certification in areas such as concrete, aggregates, soil, and rock, or road and paving materials.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
