Job Title: Microbiology Laboratory Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiology Laboratory Specialist to join our team at MillenniumSoft. As a key member of our technical service and support organization, you will provide high-level technical advice, consultation, and troubleshooting for internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lab personnel and the general public with questions related to various client assays for COVID-19 and the Veritor reader.
  
• Deliver prompt and thorough responses to inquiries from internal and external customers via telephone and written communication.
  
• Generate and maintain proper complaint documentation in compliance with FDA and ISO requirements.
  
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Field personnel to ensure timely follow-up and resolution of all technical inquiries and product issues.
  
• Support the 24/7 Technical Service telephone line by providing overnight technical assistance.
  
• Promote and ensure a culture of privacy and security related to PHI and HIPAA.
  
• Contribute to team goals and objectives through active participation.
  

Requirements:

• A.S. Degree in Life Science or related discipline required.
  
• 0-2 years relevant experience in clinical or reference microbiology laboratory, hospital or reference cytology laboratory, industrial microbiology laboratory, or biotech/academic molecular laboratory.
  
• Basic knowledge of LIS or Lab Management Systems.
  
• Effective communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a Cytotechnologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) preferred.
  
• Bachelor of Science degree with a Life Science focus preferred.
  
• Experience with medical devices and equipment, experience with client equipment a plus.
