Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Physician of OB/GYN to lead our Women's Health services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing OB/GYN services, including managing on-call schedules, providing programmatic leadership, and maintaining an active clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize care efficiency and effectiveness of Women's Health services, incorporating evidence-based care standards in clinical practice.
  • Provide governance and performance management of direct reports, including peer review, progressive disciplinary actions, and management of disruptive behavior.
  • Round on and advocate for providers on clinical and practice issues.
  • Plan, organize, and direct OB/GYN services, and manage administrative functions such as on-call schedules and staff evaluation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new information and technologies in OB/GYN and their application in CHC clinics.
  • Provide professional leadership and direction to the functions within the OB/GYN service and lead CME and professional development of OB/GYN staff.
  • Design and implement medical policies, goals, and objectives consistent with team-based care within the Patient Centered Medical Home and other emerging evidence-based care delivery models.
  • Monitor and evaluate overall quality of OB/GYN care, designing and conducting quality improvement and outcome studies aimed at improving quality of medical care and services.
Requirements
  • Medical Doctor Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency training program in the field of OB/GYN required.
  • Master's in Public Health, MBA, or MA preferred but not required.
  • CME to remain current in Medical and Management areas.
  • Five years of clinical experience in the practice of medicine, two of which have been in Medical Administration.
  • Three to five years of management and/or clinical experience in a managed care environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess highly advanced knowledge, skills, and ability associated with the practice of medicine and management of diverse clinical units.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with providers, staff, and management.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with contacts of substance, both internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agencies and requirements.
