Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Housekeeping Department Manager to join our team at Krishna Ventures LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation are maintained throughout the hotel.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing large or small staffs and delivering exceptional guest service. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating daily activities, establishing departmental standards, and reviewing administrative processes such as staffing, training, and budgeting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Evaluate Daily Activities: Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Establish Departmental Standards: Develop and implement departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives to ensure high-quality services are delivered.
- Administrative Processes: Review and optimize administrative processes such as staffing, training, and budgeting to ensure proper planning and organization.
- Quality Control: Conduct daily walk-throughs and quality checks to drive cleanliness, productivity, efficiency, and exceptional service.
- Communication: Drive effective communication across departments to ensure consistency, cohesiveness, and clear understanding of objectives and priorities.
- Supply Management: Issue supplies and equipment as needed and participate in regular inventories to ensure proper supply levels.
- Guest Service: Anticipate and follow through on guests' service needs, serving as a problem solver in instances of guest dissatisfaction.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing large or small staffs and delivering exceptional guest service.
- Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Attributes: Reliable and responsible character, with exceptional follow-up and attention to detail.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, with some college or university education preferred.
Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
