Compensation Range: $120,000 to $155,000

Travel Requirements: up to 20%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver meaningful data visualizations.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build custom applications using Power Apps to enhance business workflows.
  • Integrate Power Apps with other Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Develop both canvas and model-driven applications tailored to organizational requirements.
  • Design and implement data models to fulfill reporting and analytical demands.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and workflows through Power Automate (Flow).
  • Optimize data models and DAX queries for superior performance and efficient data retrieval.
  • Connect Power BI solutions with a variety of data sources, including SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, and other cloud services.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Power BI, Power Apps, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Maintain and refresh existing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet changing business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide technical solutions.
  • Deliver training sessions and support to end-users to enhance their proficiency in utilizing Power BI tools effectively.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the Power BI environment.
  • Stay informed about the latest features and best practices in Power BI and Power Platform technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar capacity, with a strong portfolio of Power BI projects.
  • Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language.
  • Solid grasp of data modeling principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in Power BI report development and administration.
  • Hands-on experience in Power Apps development, including both canvas and model-driven applications.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database systems.
  • Knowledge of other Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate) is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 platform and its integration capabilities.
  • Microsoft Power BI certification is preferred but not mandatory. Understanding of data security and privacy best practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps).
  • Experience with SQL Server or other database management systems.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure services related to Power BI and Power Apps.
