The Respiratory Therapist (RT) will be engaged in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients of all ages experiencing respiratory challenges. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong analytical and interpersonal skills, thrive in a collaborative team setting, and possess the ability to work autonomously. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering outstanding patient care in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all respiratory therapy functions across various patient care settings.
  • Expertise in mechanical ventilation, non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV), patient evaluations, tracheostomy management, high-flow oxygen therapy, airway maintenance, patient education, arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, and outpatient respiratory interventions.
  • Promptly communicate with nursing staff and physicians regarding any changes in patient status.
  • Ensure timely and precise documentation of patient care.
  • Actively engage in the development of patient treatment plans and participate in multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care, serving as a resource for colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Experience: Open to both new graduates and seasoned therapists
  • Licensure: Valid New York State Respiratory Therapist License
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

Work Environment:

  • Onsite position

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $38.00 to $48.00
