Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with sleep disorders, including in-center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and direct patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient care and sleep study preparation
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Direct patient education and training
  • Quality assurance and quality control

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in sleep technology and/or respiratory therapy emphasis in sleep technology
  • Current certification by a nationally recognized certification board
  • Licensure in the State of New York
  • Current BLS

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a registered technologist

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, use of hands, and reaching
  • Occasional walking, sitting, and stooping
  • Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Onsite at Cayuga Health System
