MRI Imaging Technologist PRN Position

We are seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis, with a focus on Saturday shifts and occasional weekday coverage as needed.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures for patients using an MRI Machine under general supervision. The successful candidate will prioritize patient safety and produce high-quality MR studies while ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Safety: Ensure pre-screening for contra-indications, employ aspectic injection technique, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Diagnostics: Produce high-quality diagnostic images that meet clinical standards.
- Supply Management: Order supplies and maintain a clean workspace.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with customers, doctors, and other staff members to ensure seamless coordination.
- Training: Train new MRI Technologists and support staff to maintain a high level of expertise within the department.
- Education: Graduation from a Certified Radiologic Technology program.
- Certifications: Current certification ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT.
- BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Radiation Exposure: Ability to work in an environment with minimal radiation exposure.
- Standing/Walking: Ability to stand/walking for up to eight hours per day.
- Bending/Stooping/Twisting: Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and assist patients as required.
- Assisting Patients: Assist patients in turning, arising from exam tables, and pushing wheelchairs.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities and excellent telephone skills.
- Maintaining Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
- Infection Control: Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique, and basic health and safety precautions applicable to a clinic setting.
- Medical Terminology: Use and apply medical terminology appropriately.
- Service Orientation: Demonstrate a service-oriented approach to patient care.
- Sensitivity: Show sensitivity to patients' needs and provide empathetic care.
- Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
The MRI Imaging Technologist will be accountable to the Imaging Manager.
