Position Title: Rehabilitation Support Specialist

Our team comprises quality professionals who prioritize ongoing education, advanced degrees, and internal training.

Role Summary: The Rehabilitation Support Specialist plays a crucial role in our team, as they engage extensively with our patients. This position is essential for building a trusting rapport with clients. The Specialist is responsible for establishing connections through compassionate communication and guidance during activities. They facilitate patient flow within the facility and strive to motivate clients, ensuring they have the best possible experience during their rehabilitation journey. A commitment to continuous learning is vital, as the Specialist will be educated on facility procedures as well as physical therapy and biomechanical principles to assist the Physical Therapist in delivering optimal care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Physical Therapy Site Director.
  • Arrives prepared and on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Greets patients by name upon arrival and throughout their treatment.
  • Assists Therapists in preparing patients for initial activities (e.g., Bicycle, Moist Heat).
  • Effectively communicates messages between patients and Customer Service Representatives, Insurance Specialists, or Therapists as needed.
  • Guides patients in completing insurance forms and necessary documentation to ensure seamless care.
  • Supports Therapists in guiding patients through their activities as per the PT's directives.
  • Provides corrective feedback and cues to patients regarding proper form and technique as advised by the Therapist.
  • Handles opening and closing tasks for the shift (e.g., shutting down equipment, closing blinds, ensuring the facility is ready for the next day).
  • Participates in regular training sessions with physical therapists.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer systems.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in customer service.
