Position: Senior Power Platform Developer

Role Overview:

The Senior Power Platform Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing tailored solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps and Power Automate. This role requires a deep understanding of business needs and the ability to translate them into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom applications and workflows using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions to align with evolving business requirements.
  • Ensure that all solutions are developed with a focus on security and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with various IT teams and the Citizen Development Program to provide high-quality support and delivery.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, design effective solutions, and oversee successful implementation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of learning and development.
  • Configure systems by defining fields, views, and forms to meet specified requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services and third-party applications.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Power Platform tools and SharePoint Online.
  • Proven ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices and sprint methodologies.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to mentor junior and citizen developers.
  • Experience with common data services, data connectors, and APIs.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in developing solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform, including mobile and offline functionalities.
  • Relevant certifications in Power Platform.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies.
  • Proficiency in conducting code reviews.
  • Experience working within virtual teams.
  • Familiarity with other low-code platforms like Mendix.
  • Experience in Full Stack programming, e.g., .Net.
  • Basic understanding of single sign-on technologies.
  • Ability to provide and review project estimates; Agile estimation and planning experience is highly preferred.
  • Capability to create and review technical designs.
  • Quick to learn and analyze business processes, working closely with users, business analysts, and project managers.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates accountability and follows through on commitments.
  • Delivers results through realistic planning to achieve objectives.
  • Develops effective solutions based on available information and makes timely, ethical decisions.
