We are seeking a talented Senior Power Platform Developer (Power BI) for a contract opportunity with significant potential for future engagements. Position Overview:
This position involves:
- Designing tailored solutions that leverage Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.
- Ensuring the implementation and maintenance of these solutions align with business objectives.
- Maintaining high standards of security and manageability for all solutions.
- Collaborating with various IT departments and the Citizen Development Program to deliver quality support to end-users.
- Engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure effective solution design and execution.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Configuring systems, defining fields, views, and forms to meet specific requirements.
- Conducting rigorous testing and debugging to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Integrating Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services and third-party applications.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Core Competencies: Proficiency in Power Platform, Power BI, and SharePoint Online.
- Extensive experience with Power Platform tools and SharePoint Online.
- Ability to tackle complex challenges and devise innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint planning.
- Leadership capabilities to mentor junior and citizen developers.
- Experience with common data services, data connectors, and APIs.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform, including mobile and offline functionalities.
- Relevant certifications in Power Platform.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies.
- Proficiency in conducting code reviews.
- Experience working with distributed teams.
- Familiarity with other low-code platforms like Mendix.
- Experience in Full Stack programming, e.g., .Net.
- Basic understanding of single sign-on technologies.
- Ability to provide and review estimates; Agile estimation and planning preferred.
- Capability to create and review technical designs.
- Quick learning and analysis of business processes, working closely with users, business analysts, and project managers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Accountability for actions and follow-through on commitments.
- Delivering results through realistic planning to achieve objectives.
- Developing effective solutions based on available information and making timely, ethical decisions.
