Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Director to lead our market segment and drive results through strategy development, business case development, and effective utilization of marketing resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering financial results and growing business through excellence in sales management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement market segment strategies to drive growth and profitability
  • Collaborate with product management and R&D to determine core specs and meet market needs
  • Understand the competition and competitive climate in key markets
  • Work with marketing to create a business model that includes selling price, selling strategy, distribution model, and team
  • Create business rules to ensure maximum profitability when selling against competition
  • Develop value propositions and selling tools, as well as a go-to-market strategy
  • Outline risks and key actions to mitigate
  • Define selling targets and proforma to show business case
  • Set strategy and collaborate on negotiations with significant customers
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field, MBA preferred
  • Substantial experience in senior sales roles with a strong results track record
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in strategic account leadership, negotiations, and value proposition
  • Proven ability to apply Commercial Excellence principles to achieve growth
  • Strong resiliency with ability to use interpersonal skills to influence within and outside the organization
