Job Summary

The Graduate Assistant Coach is a key member of the Track & Field team at Benedictine College. This role involves assisting in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scheduling, training, monitoring academic progress, promotions, fundraising, and coaching team members.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and select talented student-athletes to join the Track & Field team
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance
  • Monitor and support student-athletes' academic progress
  • Assist with fundraising efforts to support the Track & Field program
  • Coach team members in various events and competitions
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., sports management, exercise science)
  • Strong knowledge of Track & Field rules and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competitive Track & Field experience (participating or coaching)
  • Knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations
  • Experience with fundraising and event planning
