Benedictine College is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Assistant for Athletic Performance to join our team. As a key member of our athletic department, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our student-athletes and contributing to the success of our programs.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Retention: Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes, including coordinating travel and logistics for recruitment events.
- Program Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of athletic performance programs, including strength and conditioning, nutrition, and mental performance.
- Student-Athlete Support: Provide support to student-athletes in their academic and athletic pursuits, including academic advising and mentoring.
- Event Management: Assist in the planning and execution of athletic events, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with coaches and staff.
- Communication and Marketing: Assist in the development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies to promote our athletic programs and events.
- Education: Master's degree in a related field (e.g. exercise science, sports management, education).
- Experience: Previous experience in athletic performance, coaching, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
- Certifications: National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certification or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience working with student-athletes, coaching, or in a related field.
- Full Tuition Waiver: Benedictine College will provide a full tuition waiver for the graduate assistant.
- Assistance with Football and Other Teams: The graduate assistant will assist with football and other teams as assigned by the athletic director.
