About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms, including setting up and cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Adhere to AdventHealth's standards of care and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and safety.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA, NCCT, or equivalent)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
