We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist Supervisor to join our team at Orlando Health. This is a full-time, varied shift position that requires a strong background in surgical technology and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies in the CVOR department.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
- Supervise and train surgical technologists to ensure they meet the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a surgical technology training program, U.S. Military Medical Core Training, or equivalent on-the-job training program.
- National certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (NCCT) within six months of hire date.
- Three years of surgical technologist experience and one year of leadership or supervisor experience.
- BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
