Patient Service Representative

Summary:

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for a range of administrative and clerical tasks that support the operational efficiency of the clinic. This role demands proficiency in organization, planning, and problem-solving. Key responsibilities include welcoming and registering patients, processing payments, scheduling appointments, and overseeing clinic schedules and billing claims.

Collaboration:

This position requires effective collaboration with various team members, including the Billing Manager, Health Information Specialist, Intake Coordinators, Patient Care Coordinators, and Clinic Managers. Building strong working relationships is essential to achieving departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teamwork: Actively participate in team efforts, fostering a supportive environment and promoting SpineZone values.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication to enhance departmental operations and patient care.
  • Office Operations: Adhere to HIPAA regulations, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a professional atmosphere.
  • Financial Management: Manage patient accounts, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring all necessary information is collected and updated.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a medical office setting is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
