Research and Development Intern

- Food for Thought Learning Series: Gain insights into Scoular's organization and industry through our learning series.
Develop application formulas using Scoular ingredients, compile results in reports, and support R&D Scientist on customer projects by ordering and prepping ingredients.
Technical DevelopmentLearn about ingredient functionality through independent research, communicate with Supplier Development Manager and supplier partners, develop test methods, and perform functionality tests in-house to validate learnings.
Quality and RegulatoryDevelop an understanding of ingredient quality and regulatory functions through engagement with Scoular's Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory group.
Project ManagementComplete assigned projects under the direction of the R&D Manager and R&D Scientist.
RequirementsCurrently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
A strong communicator with a customer service mindset.
Comfortable working in a high-volume environment and managing multiple tasks.
Quick to identify problems and find solutions.
Curious and creative, with a flexible and innovative approach.
An emerging leader with experience leading in clubs, athletics, projects, or student government.
Active in the community, giving back on campus, in your hometown, or globally.
