Job Description

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our Information Technology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the firm's mission-critical network and infrastructure systems are available and properly functioning at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure and associated sub-systems.
  • Research emerging technologies to support infrastructure efforts and recommend technologies that foster adaptability.
  • Identify manual operational tasks and develop automation to mitigate network issues and repetitive tasks.
  • Assist in the deployment of cloud infrastructure to support cloud migration and delivery of various technology solutions.
  • Manage and implement full spectrum of network and cloud-specific security models in conjunction with Information Security and Compliance teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of four years' experience as a network engineer.
  • Networking routing and switching certifications preferred.
  • Strong service orientation and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
