Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a directional drill crew, ensuring efficient and safe operation of equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with installation standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage construction activities, including planning, execution, and quality control.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and customer service.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an equipment and directional drill operator or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of utility installation techniques and standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating a directional drill (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch).
  • Strong knowledge of utility construction practices and industry standards.
  • Experience with project management and team leadership.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
