Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Pactiv Evergreen. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a 12-hour production shift, ensuring safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity results for a minimum of 20 hourly employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees to ensure efficient and safe operation of the production floor.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex/critical processes or equipment, and provide hands-on approach to resolve issues.
  • Assess training needs and administer training as necessary to ensure employees have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of operation, including employees, supervisors, and management.
  • Responsible for ensuring that only quality product is produced and distributed, and maintain good housekeeping of the production facility.
  • Assist with employee performance evaluations and may counsel employees as needed.
  • Manage problem-solving and continuous improvement for 1 Value Stream of product families.
  • Supervisor of technicians, operators, and material handlers.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing facility, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong technical skills, customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communication, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation, lean manufacturing.
