Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and repairing heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, cranes, and scissor lifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on heavy equipment
  • Install electronic equipment, including GPS and backup cameras
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on existing equipment
  • Repair and install new technologies on heavy equipment
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of experience in 12-volt electronic, automotive, mechanical, and/or technical work
  • Basic understanding of installation services and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic IoT and technology troubleshooting skills
  • Basic electrical skills, including DVOM testing and identifying different battery connect methods
  • Prior work with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines preferred
  • Ability to regularly travel for this position, including overnight or multi-night travel within an assigned or designated area
  • Current and valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Work Environment

This is a field-based position, requiring 90% travel nationwide. You will be driving a company vehicle and working primarily during the day, but may be required to work late afternoons depending on client schedules.
