Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that patients receive the highest level of service and support throughout their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcome patients upon arrival and manage their wait times effectively.
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying insurance and processing necessary documentation.
- Collect co-payments and other fees, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
- Handle daily financial reconciliations in accordance with company policies.
- Assist walk-in patients and visitors with their inquiries.
- Manage phone communications, schedule appointments, and address patient concerns.
- Maintain and organize medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, staff, and the community.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned to support the team.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.
Preferred:
- Experience with electronic health records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of insurance processes and managed care.
- Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus.
- Experience in a medical front office setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
