Job Overview:

The Assembly Technician plays a crucial role in the production of medical devices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling component parts and ensuring that they meet specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Integer Core Beliefs, Behavioral Based Safety process, and Integer Associate Quality Policy
• Set up equipment needed for assembly/inspection as per Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI's) and Quality Work Instructions (QWI's)
• Understand own tasks and how they relate to others in their team, working under moderate supervision with clearly defined duties
• Understand overall production flow within their department
• Assemble component parts as per print, utilizing both manual and automatic machine operation
• Visually and/or dimensionally inspect parts and/or completed assemblies for conformance to specifications, identifying and escalating quality non-conformances
• Complete required Device History Records and other manufacturing documentation per Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• May package assemblies for shipping
• Participate in team activities focusing on process/product improvement, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Actively participate in 'flex break' programs as required
• Expand skill base through on-the-job training, cross training, and classroom instruction

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1 year of Integer related work experience and/or 2-4 years light assembly experience in a regulated industry required; medical device experience preferred
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed instructions
• Possess the ability to recognize defects in workmanship and demonstrate competency in assembly processes
• Ability to read blueprints preferred, familiarity with microscopes and measuring devices preferred, and previous light assembly experience in a regulated industry with medical devices preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience
