Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the period-end closing process, preparing internal and external regulatory reports, and monitoring general ledger balance sheet accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the period-end closing process, including compiling and processing related entries.
- Prepare internal and external regulatory reports, including the quarterly FDIC Call Report.
- Monitor general ledger balance sheet accounts daily for unusual or incorrect postings.
- Assist with maintenance of the general ledger chart of accounts and interface table.
- Review reconciliations performed by staff accountants or other departments within the Bank.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting and banking experience, including strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to provide solutions to complex problems.
- Organized, able to multi-task, and work effectively under time constraints.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, team player.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
