Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Expert to join our team at DoorDash, where you will play a critical role in building AI-powered solutions to drive business growth.


Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $140,100 to $210,100 USD per year, depending on skills and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer comprehensive benefits, equity grants, and opportunities for career advancement.


About the Role

As a Data Science Expert, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that drive restaurant selection and growth. Your expertise in causal inference and recommendation systems will enable us to develop innovative solutions that meet our business objectives.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to improve restaurant selection and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and evaluate AI solutions.
  • Partner with engineering and product leaders to shape the product roadmap and leverage AI/ML capabilities.
  • Own the modeling life cycle, including feature creation, model development and deployment, experimentation, monitoring, explainability, and model maintenance.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of industry experience in developing advanced machine learning models with business impact.
  • Expertise in applied ML for Causal Inference and Recommendation Systems.
  • M.S. or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Math, Operations Research, Physics, or other quantitative fields.
  • Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
