Data Society, a leading provider of bespoke data and AI solutions, seeks a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. We empower organizations with cutting-edge analytics, artificial intelligence, and IT solutions.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing complex end-to-end business analytics, artificial intelligence, and IT solutions using statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to manage timelines, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement full data pipelines from data ingestion to processing, transformation, loading, and visualization.
  • Utilize descriptive and predictive data mining tasks, key algorithms, including ML and NLP-based learning techniques.
  • Develop quantitative simulations and models as part of larger decision systems.
  • BUILD modern AI-based applications using LLMs, RAG, and cloud tools.
  • Incorporate new data sources into centralized data stores via web scraping, APIs, secure file transfer, etc.
  • Perform sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and text classification to understand opinions, identify trends, and extract key themes.
  • Present insights, trends, and problems through big data analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data science and analytics.
  • Expertise with SQL, R, Python, and other scripting languages.
  • Experience with large cross-sectional and time series data, strong foundation in statistical concepts.
  • Proficient in analyzing textual data using NLP techniques.
  • Familiarity with AWS tools for data integration, orchestration, and machine learning development.
