Key Responsibilities- Branch Operations: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Branch, including managing personnel issues and supervision, maintaining company standards, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Customer Service: Develop strong business relationships with customers by maintaining open communication and quickly resolving problems.
- Financial Management: Review financial and operational reports, identify areas for improvement, and take necessary actions to optimize Branch performance.
- Team Leadership: Direct subordinates to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, inventory, merchandising, receiving, stocking, and shipping.
- Service Standards: Define and communicate service standards and operational mission to employees, monitor activities to meet Branch goals, and maximize sales opportunities through excellent customer service.
- Employee Development: Manage selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all Management level personnel.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
- Inventory Management: Regularly review inventory to ensure accuracy and availability of products.
- Reporting and Administration: Complete and process necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
- Experience: Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high-volume warehouse operation; excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills; and a commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
- Background: Must have a background in big box, food service, or food retail.
- The work environment is moderate, with areas that may be cold or hot.
- The work is mostly performed standing/walking, with occasional physical labor.
- Industrial vehicles may be present in the warehouse.
