Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect crime, and to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system to prevent and respond to emergencies.
  • Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify potential safety risks.
  • Respond to accidents, contact emergency services as needed, and administer first aid/CPR if required.
  • Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents.
  • Defuse guest/employee disturbances and call for outside assistance if necessary.
  • Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents and handle all interruptions and complaints.
  • Resolve safety hazard situations and escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation.
  • Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts and call for assistance using proper code responses.
  • Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report and maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence, and conduct interviews with relevant parties.

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No license or certification required.
