Cardiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiology Specialist to join our team at Tahoe Forest Health. As a key member of our Outpatient Clinics, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Cardiology service line.

• Provide adult cardiology care, demonstrating clinical competence and expertise.
• Develop and implement education programs to meet the needs of our patient population.
• Conduct thorough health assessments, including collection of health history, physical exams, and laboratory tests.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and address patient clinical problems and healthcare needs.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records, distinguishing between normal and abnormal findings.
• Make appropriate referrals to physicians and community agencies, promoting preventative health maintenance services.
• Provide primary, secondary, and tertiary care within established protocols, collaborating with supervising physicians.
• Assist with Electronic Health Record (EHR) management and patient triage, ensuring seamless care coordination.
• Support patients with out-of-office providers, providing additional clinical support as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, with completion of a National League of Nursing (NLN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program.
• Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), with current licensure to practice in California (and/or Nevada, depending on the position).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ability to maintain certification at all times.
• Collaborative Service Agreement (CA) or Supervising Physician Agreement (NV State Medical Board), as applicable, with a designated supervising physician member of the Hospital's medical staff.
• Current, unrestricted DEA certificate in California and/or Nevada, as applicable (Schedules II-V).
• Nevada Pharmacy Board certificate, if applying to work in Nevada.
• Ability to participate in federally funded programs, including Medicare and Medicaid.

• Experience working in a Cardiology practice or service line, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular care.
