Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiology Specialist to join our team at Tahoe Forest Health. As a key member of our cardiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide adult cardiology care to patients in our clinics and hospitals.
  • Develop and implement education programs to meet the needs of our patient population.
  • Conduct health assessments, including collecting health histories, performing physical exams, and interpreting laboratory tests.
  • Order and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and address patient clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Make referrals to physicians and community agencies as needed.
  • Provide preventative health maintenance services and promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Work collaboratively with supervising cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Current APRN licensure to practice in California (and/or Nevada, depending on the position).
  • ANCC or AANP certification required.
  • Current BLS certification and DEA certificate.
  • Ability to participate in federally funded programs (Medicare and Medicaid).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a cardiology practice or service line.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records and basket coverage.
