Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a hybrid and flex scheduling environment. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students' communication skills, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students' communication skills, including articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Collaborate with various groups and individuals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students, including testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, to present evaluation results, develop treatment plans, and provide training to parents/students/staff.
  • Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Instruct eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies, such as hearing aids, FM systems, and augmentative communication devices.
  • Maintain files and records, including progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, and other relevant documents.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay up-to-date on training, IEPs, team meetings, and other relevant topics.
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students to minimize the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success.
Requirements
  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment is required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred and may be required by state/contract.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice is essential.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR certification if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to the job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively elicit and provide information to and from appropriate individuals, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency is necessary.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
