Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Summary:

The Controls Technician will be responsible for conducting programming and troubleshooting for Electrical Control Systems. This position will work with a variety of equipment and technical systems, including PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and HMI systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems, including Rockwell and Mitsubishi
  • Program and troubleshoot Fanuc Robots on a basic level
  • Configure and troubleshoot Servo and VFD systems, including SEW, Allen Bradley, and Mitsubishi
  • Configure and troubleshoot HMI systems
  • Train and assist electricians to troubleshoot, repair, replace, and commission all electrical control devices
  • Train and assist electricians to troubleshoot PLC and HMI hardware
  • Provide direction, assistance, and training to maintenance electricians in other technical areas
  • Assist with basic maintenance of networking and communications
  • Plan and coordinate engineering project work with team members
  • Engage in project commissioning and start-up work
  • Troubleshoot automation systems and assist with other aspects of electrical or controls projects
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or relevant field required
  • 2+ years of experience in Engineering, Robotics, or relevant technical role required
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Cooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities
  • Overtime may be required as work load or projects dictate
Competencies:
  • Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective ability to lead, direct, and instruct others of tasks and processes
  • Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
