Orthodontic Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at Orthodontic Specialists of Green Bay (OSGB). As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our orthodontic specialists in delivering top-notch treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the indirect bonding of brackets, placing wires, and attaching aligner therapy components.
  • Take iCAT 3D imaging, digital photos, and intra-oral scanning to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Accurately chart patient information using our paperless system.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and our orthodontic specialists to ensure seamless care.
  • Educate patients and parents on orthodontic procedures and oral hygiene best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in SureSmile treatment procedures, utilizing custom-shaped and bent archwires for efficient treatment.
Requirements:
  • Exhibit a friendly, professional demeanor and a strong work ethic.
  • Be proficient in advanced technology, including digital imaging and charting systems.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Develop strong communication skills to interact with patients, parents, and our team.
  • Take initiative to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to quality patient care.
  • Display a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of our team.
