Porter Dental & Braces - a Benevis company is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our orthodontic practice, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and creating memorable experiences for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their treatment journey.
  • Guide parents and patients through our processes before treatment, providing clear and concise information to alleviate any concerns or anxieties.
  • Educate patients in oral hygiene instruction and provide postoperative instruction, empowering them to take an active role in their oral health.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.
  • Take x-rays and save to patient charts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures, ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.
  • Mix amalgam, cement, pulp paste, and prepare impression materials, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Clean chairs and rooms, ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for patients.
  • Assist professional dental staff with treatment, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in patient charts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Pour, trim, and polish impression casts, creating accurate and detailed models for treatment planning.
  • Fabricate custom impression trays, ensuring a precise fit for each patient's unique needs.
  • Perform to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and company compliance programs.
  • Other duties as assigned, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Orthodontic or Dental Assistant Certification (State dependent)
  • Preferred at least 1 year of experience in Orthodontic Assisting
  • High focus on customer service and satisfaction
  • Must love working with children
  • Compassion and high level of service for our patients, parents, and staff
  • Professional manner and appearance at all times
