About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at Concourse Dental Care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to deliver quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
  • Provide chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing orders as needed.
  • Partner with providers and teams to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required by state dental practice act).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Access to minimum PHI necessary for job-related functions, with regular HIPAA training required.

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience.
  • Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically.
