Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit/Finance Specialist to join our team at BRAMCO GROUP. As a key member of our credit and finance department, you will be responsible for assisting the General Credit Manager in credit, collection, and finance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Credit Application Processing: Process credit applications, including checking references, pulling credit bureau reports, and verifying trade styles.
  • Account Establishment: Establish accounts in the accounts receivable system and notify sales teams of new account setups or credit denials.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare and mail new account letters, set up and maintain credit files, and track credit application status.
  • Financial Analysis: Apply company credit and collection policies to designated accounts, extend credit to customers, and discuss special applications with the General Credit Manager.
  • Collection and Follow-up: Carry out established programs for follow-up and collection of accounts receivable, check monthly balances, and take steps to prevent past due accounts.
  • Insurance and Tax Compliance: Maintain insurance certificates, tax exemption certificates, and Rental Master Lease Agreements.
  • Security Agreements and UCC Filings: Process and mail security agreements, ensure timely filing of UCCs, and maintain security agreement files.
  • Contract Management: Prepare contracts for equipment purchases, follow through with successful signings, and ensure compliance with lender requirements.
  • Customer Relationships: Maintain working relationships with operating personnel, customers, and outside interests, and initiate contacts to resolve customer problems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in finance preferred.
  • Experience: Credit/finance experience a plus, but not required.
  • Travel: 20% travel required.
  • Skills: Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and the Internet, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screens.
