The primary function of a Quality Assurance Test Analyst is to develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes. This role requires a strong understanding of software development and testing principles, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop test plans, scenarios, and scripts to ensure thorough testing of software applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Log, track, and manage defects identified during testing to ensure accurate documentation and communication to development teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field required.
- 5-7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance required.
- Strong knowledge of software development and testing principles, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to provide constructive feedback and support.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as JMeter and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of OAuth/OWASP security and how it works.
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environment.
- Ability to write code in order to create test scripts.
Contract Information:
- 12 months+ contract.
- Background check and drug screen required.
- Candidate must be a W2 employee.
