Business Systems Analyst Job Description

**Job Summary**
The City of Peoria is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will analyze business requirements for assigned development-related departments and act as a liaison in translating requirements to IT partners.

**Key Responsibilities**
Work with cross-functional teams to design solutions and analyze customer and business needs
Collaborate with users to evaluate program and system effectiveness
Conduct research and make recommendations on software and hardware needs
Participate in testing and coordinate end-user training of business systems and technology
Support metrics reporting and data needs

**Requirements**
Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
A minimum of 3 years as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent with experience in systems application analysis, data analysis and related experience

**Preferred Qualifications**
Experience in a municipal or government setting
Knowledge of the entitlement or construction document processes
Experience within Accela or another permitting system software

This is a Fixed-Term (Contract) position that is eligible for benefits.
