Position: Family Practice Physician

Role Summary: The Family Practice Physician will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role involves managing patient needs as outlined by the Service Unit and under the supervision of the designated authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established competency standards.
- Engage in outpatient services and, if preferred, inpatient duties at the Indian Health Service.
- Collaborate with a team of physicians and physician assistants, typically working within a clinical team structure.
- Conduct patient consultations and maintain thorough documentation of clinical records.
- Participate in minor surgical procedures as necessary.
- Be available for night and weekend on-call duties, covering various medical services as required.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols set by the medical center.
Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
Licensure: Must hold a permanent, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. jurisdiction and maintain clinical privileges.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
Additional Requirements: A valid state driver's license may be required for this position.
Health Compliance: Candidates must provide a fitness for duty certificate and meet immunization requirements as outlined by the employer.
