Position Overview:

Your Role:

As a seasoned professional, you will provide essential services and mission support as a finance management technician. Your primary responsibilities will include managing travel, commitments, obligations documentation, and accounting systems for the Joint Training Team (JTT), supporting the United States Army, Pacific (USARPAC) through the Defense Travel System (DTS). This role is vital to the U.S. Army's strategy of maintaining a consistent forward presence in the region.

Utilizing your expertise in DoD financial management processes, you will leverage database systems to monitor fund status, generate General Fund Enterprise Business System reports, and manage DTS funding. You will assist in the quality control of DTS voucher submissions, supporting the Government's approval processes for the JTT.

Additionally, you will aid a DoD client in developing and implementing a comprehensive financial management system, adhering to all relevant fiscal and operational guidelines. Your support will extend to a dispersed, Joint workforce operating in a non-standard, overseas location, on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial management support to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with various personnel to facilitate daily operations.
  • Conduct financial management tasks to support security assistance and cooperation activities.
  • Engage in in-country coordination for facilities and support, while managing crisis-action responsibilities.
  • Travel within the Pacific region as required.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a DoD or Government Finance role.
  • 3+ years of experience in detailed cost estimation, analysis, or forecasting.
  • 2+ years of experience with DTS funding and management.
  • 2+ years of experience with GFEBS reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Title 22 and Title 10 security cooperation and assistance authorities.
  • Ability to travel within the Pacific region.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with military budget processes.
  • Experience collaborating with in-country experts and leadership.
  • Experience at a Combat Training Center.
  • Experience analyzing exercise budgets.
  • Experience leading support functions.
  • Experience in contract financial management and program planning.
  • Ability to resolve escalated team issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
