Job Summary

Western States Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Systems Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire alarm and sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Systems: Conduct thorough inspections and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet industry standards.
  • Handle Low Voltage Wiring and Devices: Handle low voltage wiring and corresponding devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
  • Communicate with Project Manager and Schedule Coordinator: Daily communications with Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements, and general status of job.
  • Ensure Complete Closeout and Turnover of Jobs: Work with Project Manager, Schedule Coordinator, and Office Administrative Staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client.
Requirements
  • NICET Level II or III Certification: NICET Level II or III certification is preferred.
  • State of Texas TCEQ BF License: State of Texas TCEQ BF license is a plus.
  • State of Texas Fire Alarm Technicians License: State of Texas Fire Alarm Technicians License is required.
  • Texas Fire Extinguisher License Class B or Higher: Texas Fire Extinguisher License Class B or higher is a plus.
  • Strong Working Knowledge of Life Safety and NFPA Codes: Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes is required.
  • Working Knowledge of Alarm Panels, Devices, and Critical Components: Working knowledge of alarm panels, devices, and critical components is required.
  • Working Knowledge of Sprinkler Controls, Alarm Panels, Devices, and Critical Components: Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices, and critical components is required.
  • Ability to Lift Up to 50lbs: Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Regular Bending, Reaching, Climbing, and Walking: Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking is required.
