As a GNSS Validation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing GNSS technology and System on Chip (SoC) solutions for innovative ultra-low-power location-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated testing frameworks for validating the GNSS Measurement Engine (ME).
- Prepare test plans, design, and implement comprehensive test suites, and generate race charts.
- Assess functional, stress, and key performance indicators of GNSS ME firmware.
- Write test firmware to validate the SoC.
- Troubleshoot and replicate hardware and firmware issues through primary analysis.
- Create detailed reports on performance and functional testing outcomes.
- Collaborate with system, firmware, verification, FPGA, test automation, and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct board testing in laboratory settings.
- Engage in GNSS field testing and data collection.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in validating wireless SoC or systems.
- Familiarity with wireless SoC, microprocessors, memory, and peripheral characterization.
- Proficient in digital interfaces such as USB, SPMI, SPI, UART, I2C, and JTAG.
- Experience with laboratory equipment including logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and issue tracking tools (JIRA).
- Understanding of wireless systems, digital signal processing, and statistical analysis is advantageous.
- Strong programming skills in Python; knowledge of C/C++ and other scripting languages is preferred.
- Experience in hardware design, verification, board design, FPGA, and schematics/layout is a plus.
- Prior experience in GNSS or cellular validation is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
A Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience are required. A degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, or Communication is preferred.

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package, which is determined within a range. This allows for growth as you develop in your role. The base pay range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees can also participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan, allowing them to purchase Apple stock at a discount. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement. Additionally, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments.
